Snoopy Movie Coming to a Theatre Near You!

Get ready, blockheads, because Snoopy, Charlie Brown, and the Peanuts gang are skedded to hit the big screen! (But don’t rush out to buy tickets yet since the film won’t be in cineplexes until sometime around November 2015.)

Let’s hope the new fancy-schmancy animation can stand up to the simple charms of Charles Schulz’s beloved cartoon classic. (THR)

Hardy Boy to the Dog Rescue…

tom hardy animal rescue movieIt looks like one of The Hardy Boys — make that Tom Hardy (star of Warrior and Inception) — is going to crack a lost dog case in a new movie called Animal Rescue, which is based on a short story by Dennis Lehane (author of Mystic River).

Lehane himself recently happened to have a reward out for his own missing dog in real life, a pretty Beagle named Tessa. (Yahoo)

My Dog Tulip Blooms…

Based on the book by J.R. Ackerley, My Dog Tulip, is a good, not great dog movie — mainly because I felt the storyline spent a little too much time focusing on Tulip’s desire to procreate. Not that I’m a prude by any means, but I digress…

Still, I couldn’t help but admire the film’s elegant, eye-popping animation and use of voice-over by Christopher Plummer — so it’s definitely worth a watch on Netflix.
