Call of The Jack London Dog Books!
On rainy days, it’s nice to put on your London Fog dog. That’s right, sometimes you gotta go back to the classics (even with dog books) — and what better place to start than Jack London’s pre-World War dog adventure stories like Call of The Wild and White Fang.
Doggie Klam-Bake!

Still, I couldn’t help but admire the film’s elegant, eye-popping animation and use of voice-over by Christopher Plummer — so it’s definitely worth a watch on Netflix.

Susan Orlean, author of The Orchid Thief (or Adaptation, if you saw the very creatively adapted film by Spike Jonze and Charlie Kaufman) is pushing for a posthumous Oscar for the subject of her latest book, Rin Tin Tin: The Life and Legend, as it seems that way back in 1929, some ne’er-do-well actor fetched the poor dog’s gold statue all for himself!

Oprah’s Top Dog Book Recommendations…
I think it was Chris Rock who once said that he wants to come back in the next life as Oprah’s dog. Well, heaven only knows if that’s possible — but here’s the next best thing: a list of Oprah’s favorite dog books!

Taschen, the stylish publisher of fancy, high-end art and design books, recently lost their mascot/in-house editorial director, Sans Souci, a super sweetie French bulldog, but they’ve commemorated him with a loving tribute on their shopping bag…
