Seth Casteel, the scuba dog-diving photographer/creator of Underwater Dogs — has gone deeper under the surface to bring out a new child-friendly version of his best-selling dog photo book, Underwater Dogs – Kids Edition. Frolicking in the shadows of The Golden Gate Bridge, SFMOMA has installed a series of abstract steel sculptures by the artist, Mark Di Suvero. Apparently though, many of the local dog walkers aren’t happy about these gigantic metal monuments taking up valuable space for the dogs to run and play; however, they might appreciate that one of the sculptures titled, Old Buddy (seen below), was named after the artist’s late dog.
And if you look even closer at the silver back legs of the sculpture, you can see Buddy has one leg lifted up towards the sky, perhaps leaving his own mark on the National Park’s green grass…which would make any dog proud! (photo: SFist)

Over the holiday weekend, The Wall Street Journal showcased some of the world’s most unique bookstores — with my personal favorite being the UK’s Book Barge (because they have a dog providing security, of course)!
Who would think that a 200-pound Giant Pink Dog Sculpture could disappear so easily from the middle of a busy West Hollywood intersection? Apparently, that’s what happened during the LA Pride parade last week! (NBCLA4)
