Wes Anderson Doesn’t Like Dogs?

Ian Crouch of The New Yorker is positing the theory that perhaps Wes Anderson, the stylish, erudite director of The Royal Tenenbaums and Moonrise Kingdom, is not a fan of dogs. Personally, I think Mr. Anderson just likes to use his clever humor to subvert the public’s love for pups, but you can decide for yourself by reading the article here.

I love dogs as much as anyone — but I’m not sure if I could stomach a stuffed ex-pet version of my beloved deceased Jack Russell. That said, The New York Times recently featured this article on the new aptly-named Animal Planet TV show, American Stuffers, that provides an alternative solution to those pet owners who still must have their old pal around.
